Blues Sweep Rocky

Cottesloe won all grades on Saturday for the first time in a while as the resurgent Blues knocked over Rockingham in 1st to 4th grades and the women beat Wanneroo. Acton Premier Grade continued its winning form by collecting a bonus point win in their 32  -12 victory and reserves and thirds also had handy wins to collect maximum points. Fourths got back on the winners list wit ha late score to snatch victory.

1sts started like a house on fire and shot to a 19 - 0 lead after 20 minutes but let Rocky back in the game with some poor options and slack defence to go to the break leading 22 -12. The second 40 was nothing to write home about and we were lucky to get the bonus point try on the bell thanks to Casper's soccer skills. We should have had the game iced in the first half so hopefully the lads will learn from that and keep the intensity on sides for the full 80 in the future.

Reserves topped the 50 points in their match and stayed firmly in the top 4 with a one sided affair. Gaffers was on hand to grab three tries, one of which was a 130 metre effort with 8 Rockingham boys on his back!!! Several of the Colts ran on in the game and showed the club is in good hands moving forward as they rattled on a few late tries, including tries to Corey Parker and Nick "Teaspoon" Haining.
